ELDER GOT BAAAPPPPTTTIIIIIIIZZZZZZZEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDD

Hola everyone!

This week was really good but really hard and just kinda weird, but Elder's baptism was so good!

So there's this week Hermana Openshaw and I got hit with this nasty flu bug that everyone is getting. Luckily no nausea or anything but it comes with a nasty cough and I couldn't talk for 3 days (including the day of the baptism) and we've had to stay inside most of the week.

Ridin' in style

I got some meds on Saturday which are working fantastically, but they absolutely wipe me out so I've been sleeping lots and in the grocery store today I had to use one of those electric scooter carts and it was great. So yeah, hopefully we'll be able to get out and work again soon! But we've felt so much love and help from our members and the other missionaries here in the last few days, we're definitely well taken care of!

So Elder's baptism was so beautiful! Funny story, we started filling up the font and went to teach him the last few things he needed to know before getting baptized and when we came back the font was completely overflowing and everything was mayhem and by some miracle we were able to mostly clean up the water damage before anyone got there.

A lot of Elder's family were able to come and they were so supportive and nice! And they definitely felt that special spirit that's always at a baptism, so hopefully we'll be able to start teaching them soon! It was amazing, the first time Elder was baptized his knee came out of the water so they had to do it again and he was telling us after that he didn't feel anything that first time, but the second time when he went all the way under and it was done correctly he said it was one of the most beautiful things, like the Spirit just exploded inside of him! I love this gospel so much and I know it's true!
